Offensive line

Ok so technically this makes more than five players. But it must be highlighted as the most disappointing thing of the season. Here I’ll do it right now. The Detroit Lions offensive line is the most disappointing thing of the season.

Believe it or not the Lions offensive line did show improvement over the line that allowed Matthew Stafford to get sacked 45 times in 2014. In 2015 they only allowed Stafford to get sacked 44 times. Slowly but surely they are their way to legend status. Let’s not forget this line also paved the way for the 32nd ranked rushing unit as well. It was truly a banner year.

The right tackle spot continues to be a revolving door despite Michael Ola showing some promise late. Swanson is not the answer at center. Tomlinson looked like a bust early. Reiff should be on the right side and Warford, well Warford actually wasn’t too bad at all. Look for the Lions to be hitting up the draft and free agency to fix this problem. Allowing 89 sacks in two seasons can no longer be allowed. I wonder what Joe Thomas is doing right now?
