Fantasy Football: Week 3 Waiver Wire Targets

What has happened to Alfred Morris and where did Matt Jones come from? In all seriousness, there appears to be a position battle brewing between the two in the Nation’s Capital.

Morris, who is in a contract year, had a front row seat for the breakout performance of former Florida Gator, Jones, in week two. In the first quarter of the Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams battle on Sunday, Jones kicked things off with a 39-yard touchdown run which was set up by Morris. For the remainder of the game the two would split duties, with Jones gaining roughly 60 more yards than Morris (123/60) and two scores along the way.

It now seems at this point that it could be a running back by committee approach from here on out, but if the numbers tell us anything, it’s that Jones has the momentum.
