Oh man, Devante Adams owners, I feel your pain! Adams was supposed to be the steal of 2015 and the guy that would catch all of the balls that were formally thrown to the now injured, Jordy Nelson. Instead, once long-time Packer, James Jones, returned to the team and made most of us under-estimate his chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Looking back at it now, the targets make perfect sense considering the familiarity and size of Jones on the outside. However, I recommend that owners of Adams don’t hit the panic button just yet!

Looking at numbers from last Sunday even more, it doesn’t take long to realize that Jones probably wont put up numbers like this every week. In fact, against the Chicago Bears last Sunday, Jones had just four total targets, two of those coming in the coming in the redzone.

The end result? Four targets, four catches, two touchdowns and 51 yards receiving.

With Adams being the young second-year guy he is, look for him to continue to come on as the season wears on. Now, does this make James Jones a bad waiver wire option? Absolutely not. He is a guy that you can add if you need someone start this week, and could have a very good chance at getting you a touchdown at least.
