4. Who is your bubble guy that you’d like to see on the team, but might not?

Platte: Isaiah Johnson is a Teryl Austin type of player. Smart, versatile, and just loves to get physical. He showed well in camp, but had a very quiet preseason.  He finished strong against the Bills but I’m not sure he did enough to dislodge the baffling presence of Don Carey on the roster.

Stahl: Cudjo is the odd man out at DT. Boggs on offense. I think Boggs is in, Cudjo is out.

Mac: Joseph Fauria. Fauria has gone from folk hero to pariah in a matter of months. In 2013, the Lions had one of the best red-zone offenses in football and Joseph Fauria was a big part of that success. In 2014, the red-zone offense suffered in no small part due to self-inflicted injuries Fauria sustained off the field. Today, Joseph Fauria stands on a precarious precipice where his final fall from grace looks to be inevitable.

DeGain: My bubble guy that I would have liked to see on the team was Peacock, but he was cut on Tuesday. Hopefully they sign him up for the practice squad. I think he has made improvements over last year and could be an asset.

Payton: I like what I’ve seen from Jermelle Cudjo in the preseason. If he has another good showing against Buffalo, it will be hard to let him walk. It just depends on if the Lions want to carry a fifth defensive tackle or not.

Williams: I’m going with Taylor Boggs. Despite the Lions concerns with the health of Larry Warford, I see this team keeping three tackles — which essentially means a guard must go.
