Reggie Bush’s stay in Detroit was the classic tale of two halves. His first season he was everything the Lions hoped he would be. He gained over 1,000 yards on the ground and over 500 yards through the air. In space he was an absolute terror for defenses.
I’m convinced that Reggie Bush’s 2014 season was simply an audition tape for Soul train. Reggie turned into this weird version of himself that could go any direction but forward. It was quite infuriating to watch Reggie Bush dance one yard away from a first down on multiple occasions.
To me Reggie has always been like the guy in baseball that always tries to hit a home run and nothing else. Every play for Reggie is an attempt to do something spectacular. The trouble is that it rarely works and Reggie winds up getting hurt.
