Power Ranking Detroit Lions Opponents: Running Back

13 of 14

May 28, 2015; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray (29) talks with the media during OTA

2014’s top rusher Demarco Murray sure saw quite a jump in his stats last season. Taking 175 more snaps in 2014 than he had in 2013. This led to 724 more yards and four more touchdowns.

Still, Murray success is hard one to figure out. Some say he benefited from having one of better offensive lines in recent memory, others say the Cowboys overworking him led to an increase in stats. Then there are those that say Murray is one of the brightest young running backs in the league. I’d have to agree with both sides of the argument.

There’s no way the Eagles will make Murray run the ball almost 400 times in 2015. Both parties will be glad when they don’t. Murray’ stats will drop, but he’s still one of the most dangerous running backs in the league.

Next: Marshawn Lynch
