While the Philadelphia defense wasn’t impressive at all last season, ranking 28th in the league, Chip Kelly has revamped it quite a bit in the offseason. The defense has the potential to be a top 10 defense in the NFL in the 2015 season.

With the linebacker duo of Mychal Kendricks and Kiko Alonso, who was acquired in the LeSean McCoy trade, the inside of that linebacking corps looks to be pretty stout. Add to that Connor Barwin and Brandon Graham on the outside, and the linebackers as a whole look to be dangerous.

The secondary was rebuilt with the former Seahawks corner Byron Maxwell on one side at cornerback, and the rookie Eric Rowe on the other side. Walter Thurmond is slated to be lined up as a slot cover man, and Malcolm Jenkins in the backfield at the strong safety position. This could turn out to be one of the tougher defenses the Detroit Lions face this season.
