All aboard the hype train!!! The Vikings have quickly become the media’s 2015 version of the media’s 2012, 2013, and 2014 Chicago Bears. Are the Vikings what the pundits think they are?

History says no. Looking back on every team that rides the hype train into the season, things typically end badly. The Bears are a perfect example of this phenomenon. As are the Redskins, who Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman infamously picked to win the Super Bowl in 2013.

The Vikings will definitely be a tough out for any team in 2015. But they have a few years to go before they are a true threat for Lions or Packers. But when they catch on, they are going to catch hard. Beware 2016 Detroit Lions.
