AFC South Prediction: Indianapolis Colts – Division Champions

The AFC South remains firmly in the grasps of the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck in 2015. And really, it’s not even close.

Indy came up one game short a year ago in the AFC Championship, (a game that you have all likely become familiar with) but I don’t expect the same outcome this year. In fact, I have the Colts and the Green Bay Packers as my early Super Bowl favorites in 2015.

Indy lost long-time dependable wideout Reggie Wayne to retirement, but added more than one notable veteran in the offseason. The additions of both Frank Gore and Andre Johnson are surefire signs that this organization is wanting to win — and win now.

If you peak around the rest of the division the competition remains rather bleak looking.

The Houston Texans remain a huge question mark at quarterback, although they are paying J.J. Watt like one. The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have found their quarterback of the future in Blake Bortles, but the team as a whole certainly isn’t quite the caliber of the Colts. And the Tennessee Titans may find themselves going from the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft to No. 1 in 2016. (Sorry Marcus Maritoa fans, but I am not a believer in the Whisenhunt system.)

With all that in mind, it’s hard not to expect the Colts to win this division.

Predicted AFC South Standings:

  1. Indianapolis Colts
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars
  3. Houston Texans
  4. Tennessee Titans
