4. Defensive Tackle

Following the departure of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and his cohort Nick Fairly, a good amount of uncertainty has been lingering over the team in regards to what the interior of the d-line will look like in 2015.

It is presumed that All-Pro DT, Haloti Ngata will take one of the two vacant starting spots, however beyond that everything is up for grabs. It makes most sense for Tyrunn Walker to take first-team reps along with Ngata and have rookie Gabe Wright and fellow youngster Caraun Reid take seconds, but anything could happen.

There is also the multi-dimensional guys like James Jones, Corey Wooten and Darryl Tapp that could play a factor in the decision.

I expect Ngata to be in the spotlight throughout much of the week. It’s his first week on the field in a Detroit Lions uniform, he is Suh’s replacement and he is 31-years old and coming off of a down year in Baltimore. Then there was also the four game PED suspension.

Its worth keep an eye on him to see what kind of condition he is in.
