Despite a slew of well documented off-the-field issues at Florida State, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers felt comfortable enough to make Jameis Winston the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft — and for good reason.
Winston is NFL ready and has excellent football intelligence.
Like, Andrew Luck football intelligence.
On top of that, Winston will be playing with a great supporting cast when Tampa Bay takes the field. Last years rookie sensation, Mike Evans, will once again line up next to Vincent Jackson in 2015. The two compliment each other well, and will also benefit from having Winston under center.
The Bucs also made key additions to their offensive line in the mid-rounds of the draft, and still have a guy named Doug Martin as their running back.
If Winston can continue to mature and keep his head on strait, he could easily develop into a starter in NFL Fantasy Football.
