3. Alex Carter Is Probably Boom Or Bust

Detroit filled needs throughout the draft, and given what the team already had on the roster, cornerback generally wasn’t considered one of those needs early on. That puts plenty of pressure on a young Carter to evolve into a difference maker relatively quickly.

The tale of how the Lions’ 2015 NFL Draft is remembered likely revolves around what happens with Carter. If he becomes a solid player, the draft will probably be remembered as a success. Should he bust, folks would begin to wonder what else the Lions could have done better in the third round. It’s a tough spot for a solid young man to be in.
