Carolina Panthers

At the 2015 NFL Draft, it was former Pro Bowl linebacker Thomas Davis that would introduce the Carolina Panthers first round pick, and perhaps future Pro Bowler, Shaq Thompson. Thompson is an extremely athletic and aware linebacker, who actually possess a lot of the same traits as the man who introduced him.

When the Panthers got to the second round is when things really got interesting for Carolina though.

Their second round selection was someone who all of the readers in Michigan will know well — former U-M Wolverine, Devin Funchess. It is unclear at this point how the Panthers will utilized Funchess, whether is be a wide receiver or tight end, but one thing that is clear is the resemblance in playing style to the Panthers first round pick of one year ago, Kelvin Benjamin.

The Panthers seemingly build annually to their running back stable and found another underrated talent in Cameron Artis-Payne. Tackle Daryl Williams, however, could offer more immediate impact.

Grade: C+
