Like Crowder, Lockett is one of the smaller receiver prospects in this year’s combine, but he also has the element of speed and total production on his side. Lockett also has the bloodlines, being his father Kevin Lockett played in the NFL for six seasons. Scouts worry about his hands, breakaway speed in the clear, and wonder if his body can stand up to some of the bigger defensive backs when being used as a pure receiver. Detroit might only wonder if they could use him as their next returner first and foremost.

Drills to watch: 40 yard dash, gauntlet.
