While many will focus primarily on Washington’s Danny Shelton at the position this week for the North squad with good reason, Davis could become a player that quietly evolves into a day two steal or possibly even makes the leap late into the first round with an excellent week.
He’s a local kid that hails from Detroit, and he played at a high level for the Hawkeyes in the Big Ten consistently, recording 34 tackles and two sacks in 2014. He’s a run stuffer first but has shown the ability to get to the quarterback in the past, and is the type of tackle that could fit into any scheme.
The Lions, obviously, could need a whole lot of depth at defensive tackle, making players like Shelton and Davis must-watch prospects this week.
