Most will salivate over teammate Ameer Abdullah for good reason. His size and strength make him look like the ideal NFL runner. Despite this, Langford might actually be the best total back in the senior class due to his productivity. He finished his Michigan State career on an insane run of both 100 yard and touchdown games, proving his consistency and durability.
Langford will probably have to show an ability to catch the ball out of the backfield in order to move up the draft board, but there’s no doubting the type of prospect he’s become. Detroit might have a need for a runner considering the age and wear of Reggie Bush, and Langford could prove to be an excellent addition to an already stocked backfield.
