LINEBACKER (5)

  1. DeAndre Levy
  2. Stephen Tulloch
  3. Kyle Van Noy
  4. Ashlee Palmer
  5. Tahir Whitehead

Much like with the defensive line, I think Teryl Austin is going to be very multiple with how he uses the linebackers in different formations. The only real battle at this point is for the starting SAM linebacker. I fully expect Kyle Van Noy to take over that job, but Palmer could still see some time in certain packages. I don’t love paying a reserve linebacker what Palmer is earning, but he’s still one of the teams better coverage guys on special teams.

I have no faith in the guys behind the top five to make the roster. The only guy with any shot seems to be Travis Lewis, but his lack of athleticism is evident at this level.
