35. Rodney Austin, OG

This is a big offseason for Austin. The Lions have been giving him solid reps this offseason, and he has a chance to unseat Rob Sims if he has  a solid training camp. He could also be wearing a new uniform if he fails to impress.

34. Theo Riddick, RB

Currently slotted in as the third running back, Riddick has the possibility of really breaking out in 2014. After getting minimal touches last year as rookie, the shifty tailback has impressed the new staff with his crisp routes and tough running. The arrow is pointing straight up.

33. Ryan Broyles, WR

I’m rooting for Ryan Broyles. But more importantly so is Martin Mayhew. Broyles has a chance to excel for the Lions, but health has always been a concern since the day he was drafted.

32. Don Carey, S/CB

If it were up to Teryl Austin, he’d love to have a team full of guys like Don Carey. He’s most valuable on special teams, but he’s also been a pretty high value reserve for the Lions over the last few years. He can be the team’s third safety and can play nickel in a pinch.

31. Tahir Whitehead, LB

Whitehead was primarily used as a strong side linebacker under Jim Schwartz, but he’s already been seeing more time at middle linebacker this offseason. Whitehead will probably the primary backup at one of those spots heading into training camp.
