To the surprise of nobody at all, the Vikings were blown out by the Seattle Seahawks.

But that’s not really important. What’s important is that they don’t appear to have any more direction as to where they’re going in terms of quarterbacks. Christian Ponder is playing better in his last few games, but that’s not saying much.

Is he the QB of the future, though? Might Josh Freeman be? They don’t know, because they have barely played him aside from that embarrassing first game.

Chances are, a draft pick goes a quarterback’s way this offseason regardless, and probably a high one if they keep playing like this. But with the season already circling the drain, they need to at least figure out who to keep around next season. That goes for the atrocious defense, as well.

That being said, nobody can afford to overlook this team. Adrian Peterson can still carry the Vikings for 60 minutes, so while the Vikings are all but mathmatically eliminated from the postseason, they remain one of the NFL’s sneakier spoiler candidates.

Next Game: 11/24  at  Green Bay (5-5)
