The Detroit Lions have been relatively healthy going back to their bye week, with an occasional headline-making injury situation around a notable player. Last week it was tight end Sam LaPorta, who avoided a worst-case scenario knee injury in the regular season finale. He not only played against the Rams, but played close to his normal snap share and played well.

This week's notable injury headline for the Lions is around James Houston. He was activated from IR on Thursday, as his 21-day return window expired. But during his press conference on Friday, head coach Dan Campbell would not commit to the second-year edge rusher suiting up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Here is the Divisional Round injury report for the Lions, with designations for Sunday's game.

Detroit Lions Divisional Round injury report

  • WR Kalif Raymond (knee)-Out
  • LB James Houston (ankle)-Questionable
  • TE Sam LaPorta (knee)-Questionable
  • LB Alex Anzalone (shoulder/ribs)-No designation
  • DB Brian Branch (knee)-No designation
  • S Kerby Joseph (knee)-No designation
  • C Frank Ragnow (knee/back/toe/rest)-No designation
  • TE Brock Wright (hip)-No designation

Raymond was injured in Week 18 against the Vikings, and he again did not practice all week this week. Donovan Peoples-Jones returned punts in his place last week, and he'll presumably do so again on Sunday.

Houston was unsurprisingly listed as questionable, keeping the door open for him to play on Sunday despite Campbell's pessimism.

LaPorta appears to be over the hump with his knee injury. Despite being limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, he should be good to go for Sunday despite being listed as questionable.

Anzalone suffered and rib injuries during last week's game against the Rams. He was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, so he carries no injury designation for Sunday.

Branch and Joseph also suffered injuries against the Rams, but have no designation for Sunday and are in line to play.

Here is the final injury report of the week for the Buccaneers. Most notably Shaq Barrett is questionable, while Chris Godwin and Baker Mayfield are good to go.

  • LB Shaquil Barrett (ankle)-Questionable
  • RB Chase Edmonds (toe)-Questionable
  • QB John Wolford (illness)-Questionable
  • WR Chris Godwin (knee/personal)-No designation
  • QB Baker Mayfield (ankle/ribs)-No designation
  • LB YaYa Diaby (shoulder)-No designation
