2. Taylor Heinicke, Washington Commanders

Heinicke headed into Washington’s Week 14 bye with 275 yards and the two scores against the New York Giants in Week 13. It hasn’t always looked pretty, but he multiple passing touchdowns in back-to-back games and he has accounted for multiple touchdowns in five of his seven starts this season.

In those same five out of the last seven, he has posted at least 12.4 fantasy points (over 15 three times and over 17.5 twice, including against the Giants in Week 13).

Heinicke gets the Giants again in Week 15, and it has become a pretty nice matchup as injuries have thinned their secondary. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had 77 rushing yards and a touchdown against them in Week 14. Leaving that aside, the Giants have allowed two passing touchdowns in three straight games and in four of their last six.

Going back a little more, the Giants have allowed multiple passing touchdowns or over 260 yards through the air to a quarterback in six of their last seven games. Coincidentally, the one exception was Jared Goff in Week 11.

Heinicke mixes a decent floor with solid upside as a fantasy option this week. Among streaming options/waiver wire pickups/Goff replacements for Week 15, that puts the Commanders’ signal caller high on this list.
