Defensive line and Linebackers

Defensive Line (9): Aidan Hutchinson, Charles Harris, Alim McNeill, Michael Brockers, Levi Onwuzurike, Austin Bryant, Julian Okwara, John Cominsky, Demetrius Taylor

PUP: Romeo Okwara, Josh Paschal

With Onwuzurike looking unlikely for Week 1, but not able to be put on the PUP list like Romeo Okwara and Paschal, the Lions carry an extra body here and Cominsky is versatile enough to play inside or out. A late addition like Malcom Brown would push Taylor out.

Linebackers (5): Alex Anzalone, Chris Board, Malcolm Rodriguez, Derrick Barnes, Jarrad Davis

Rodriguez is pushing to win a starting job (I still say replacing Anzalone, not alongside him), and Barnes had a better outing in the second preseason game.

Roster Count: 39
