7 trade targets the Detroit Lions could be interested in
By Reuben Gasee
Ryan Kerrigan, DE
Defensive end Ryan Kerrigan is by no means a star but he is the best player seemingly available for trade.
Kerrigan has no spot to play on the Washington Football Team as their loaded with younger and more explosive talent on the defensive line. With his contract expiring after this season, Washington would love to get something from him instead of him walking for nothing.
Kerrigan’s stats this season aren’t great. He has only eight tackles (five solo) with four of those going for loss along with four sacks and a fumble recovery.
The reason why his stats aren’t great though is because of his playing time. He’s appeared in all seven games but has only started one of them while playing more than half of the game’s defensive snaps just twice.
Ryan Kerrigan would surely improve his stats if he was given a path to more playing time. The Detroit Lions can surely give him that. But if he might be too expensive for the Lions as he’s expected to fetch as high as a third-round pick.
