Scouting Report. 44. Montez Sweat. 14. player. Pick Analysis. Defensive End. Mississippi State

After a heart condition causes him to fall some, the Falcons gladly end his slide at 14 overall. The Falcons need a pass rusher and Sweat gives them a player with sky-high potential. Sweat can defend the run at probably the highest level of all defensive ends in this draft, but his lack of bend when rushing the passer also contributes to his draft day tumble.

Adding Sweat would give the Falcons a line that consists of defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and defensive end Tak McKinnley. Sweat is a strong rusher that won’t often be bullied and could end up being the best defensive end to come out of the draft.
