Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. T.J. Edwards. player. Linebacker. Wisconsin. 204. 50

If the Lions were able to nab Edwards in the sixth I would be ecstatic. Edwards is a hard hitting, smart linebacker that can diagnose plays quickly and close the gap to the ball carrier in a snap.

Edwards would be best served as an early down backer, paired with Jarrad Davis, that would be best against the run.

Pairing Edwards with Davis and the stacked defensive line would surely guarantee the Lions have a top ten, possibly top five, run defense in the league.

While defending against the pass is not his strong suit he has flashed the ability to do so over his time at Wisconsin as he has collected 10 interceptions and 11 passes defensed over his career there. He also gathered 366 tackles throughout his time on campus.
