Detroit Lions Round 2

Drew Lock, QB, Missouri, 6-3, 225, 4.89

Daniel Jones and Will Grier were also available. KCW has not seen a lot of Lock but he has good size, accuracy, and has been highly productive for the Tigers. Lock has over 7,000 yards, 69 touchdowns, against 21 interceptions in his last two years.

Rang compared him to current Raiders quarterback, Derek Carr. So, Lock can sling the ball and has good experience in the SEC. He did not fare well against Georgia or Alabama but few quarterbacks do. Rang ranked him as a late first round pick but he could easily drop a few picks down to the fifth pick in Round 2.

*On average twelve quarterbacks get drafted in the last five years, according to NFL Draft Scout. As few as seven have been drafted in poor classes so we are pushing it trying to draft nine in seven rounds.
