Week 16: Chance to play spoiler!

If the Vikings aren’t careful, they may also find themselves sitting on their couches for Wild Card weekend, despite entering the season with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. Playing spoiler against a division rival isn’t the ideal way to spend Fan Appreciation Day, but  it’s at least  better than getting railroaded by the worst team in the AFC on opening night.

*Bonus: This could also be the game where Kenny Golladay passes 1,000 receiving yards for the season. Maybe this milestone doesn’t mean as much as it used to, and maybe it’s bittersweet considering the white flag Golden Tate trade and Marvin Jones‘s season-ending injury. Even so, 1,000 yards for Golladay in his second pro season is a noteworthy testament to his improvement and continued potential moving forward.

Week 17: Lambeau Takeover Continues!

The NFC North title won’t be at stake like in a few recent Lions-Packers season finales, but Detroit will at least have a chance to win at Lambeau Field for the 3rd time in the last four years. After over two decades without a single W on the frozen tundra, a win to close 2018 would at least provide a thin silver lining (and perhaps a thin coating of job security) to Matt Patricia’s rookie season as a head coach.

Green Bay also figures to be well out of the playoff race by this point. Of course, you never know with Aaron Rodgers, but I also haven’t seen any “run the table” quotes from him this time around.

For anyone on the brink of swearing off the Lions, maybe this guide will be enough to see you through the final five weeks. There’s still plenty to look forward to. Enjoy enduring.
