Offensive Line

In past years this might have been a draw as well. But Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn has finally achieved his goal of building a top offensive line the league.

Take a look at some of these stats via tweets from the twitter account @NFLMatchup:

Wow. I mean, just wow. The Lions are a top-ten run blocking team and a top-five pass blocking team. Incredible. It’s been too many years since Detroit has had this kind offensive line in place, and it’s so fun to watch.

Beautiful, isn’t it?

Meanwhile, the Seahawks have an offensive line that gives up the second most pressure in the league. Their run blocking isn’t bad, but it’s not top ten level either. The Lions just have the better players here.

Advantage: Lions

The only position where the Seahawks edge out the Lions is running back and that’s only because of their talented depth. As I already stated, Kerryon Johnson is the premier runner out of both groups.
