Detroit Lions: Do you like the direction of the team?

Kool-aid spin (Why to feel optimistic)

A couple of defensive players have been signed to cover our injuries to tackle Haloti Ngata, and Jarrad Davis, one of our rookie linebackers, is back in the middle.

Plus, I want to think positive thoughts about my team. I often have to cite poor play, or reasons to doubt the Lions. No one likes a Debbie Downer.

So, after I distance myself from my Sunday disappointment, I usually get some perspective.

Only when completely eliminated from the playoffs will I spiral into full there’s always next year mode. Inevitably, I’m sure that this cycle is what is responsible for my obsession with the NFL Draft.
