Seattle Seahawks 24 @ Detroit Lions 28

2012

This week 8 matchup found the 4-3 Seahawks facing off against the 2-4 Lions. Though Seattle would eventually finish the season 11-5, this game served as a reality check for the Pete Carroll and crew.

Matthew Stafford had a big day with rookie WR Titus Young who secured 9 receptions for 100 yards 2 scores. After a 16 yard reception by Seattle TE Zach Miller, the Lions found themselves down 24-21 with 5:27 with the ball on their own 20.

Out of the 16 plays that would eventually lead to a 1 yard TD reception by Titus Young, Stafford threw on 15 of them completing 10 passes for 75 yards. While it wasn’t necessarily a 2 minute drill, the fourth year quarterback was able to bleed off five minutes of game time while picking apart a top 5 pass defense in the original Legion of Boom.
