The Lions have a few free agents that they must lock up before free agency opens up next month. One of the most important is Isa Abdul-Quddus. It’s looking like James Ihedigbo will not be returning in 2016, that makes safety a big need. Luckily the Lions have a guy like Abdul-Quddus in house that can take over the starting spot immediately next season. It’s imperative that they get a deal worked out.

additionally the Lions would be smart to bring back Haloti Ngata for a couple more years. This is good for Ngata as well, as Detroit represents his best chance to make a decent amount of money. He can also play mentor to the incoming rookie defensive tackle or tackles that the Lions will get in the draft.

Other players the Lions should lock up are Travis Lewis, Crezdon Butler and Isiah Johnson.
