Stock Up: James Ihedigbo

James Ihedigbo was one of the two worst players on the field for the Lions against the San Diego Chargers, but he was one of the two best against the Minnesota Vikings. After finding new ways to look old and damaged, he bounced back hard, playing wholly in his element against Adrian Peterson and company.  Two of Peterson’s three fumbles were caused by James Ihedgibo, and they weren’t even his best plays.

The long time veteran staged a brief holdout (the threat of one) in a contract dispute with the Lions, and it’s games like this one that show why he thought he was justified.  Those are some pretty big ups and downs to start the season off, but if he manages to hold on to this level of play the Detroit Lions could be in a good spot until they draft a new safety next offseason.
