Payton, SLR: The Lions to me are still looking like the playoff team I thought they would be in our previous round table. As I mentioned earlier, the offense has looked better than I could have imagined thus far. Seeing this team in camp and then seeing them translate that onto the field against the Jets, this team looks dangerous.

Throw the fandom to the side, watch out for this Detroit Lions team. I’m sticking with my prediction of somewhere between 10-6 and 12-4.”

Roethlisberger, LA: “Right now I have the Packers at 12-4 and that being good enough for a first round bye in the playoffs. A Super Bowl is easily not out of the question being that this is going to be one of the better teams in the Aaron Rodgers era. The team looks to be hungry last season they’ve built on their depth, now its time to go out there and make it happen. I would not be surprised to see a 6-0 record against the NFC North this year as well so look out.”

Schmelzer, BGO: “Nothing has really changed in my eyes. I still see the Bears as a 6-10 or 7-9 team. If Cutler has a career year, they could theoretically make a run at a playoff spot, but I’m not expecting it. This team is a year or two away. “

Zinski, TVA: I see no reason why the Vikings can’t win 10 games if Peterson is Peterson and Teddy Bridgewater keeps getting better and the O-line sticks together. I like the way the D is coming along and I like the coaching staff. I like some of the young players they’ve brought in the last couple years. I just hope Bridgewater doesn’t get killed behind that line.”

There you have it NFC North fans. You’ve heard from the writer, now we want to hear from you. Be sure to cast your vote in the poll below.

I would like to thank Zach Roethlisberger of Lombardi Ave, Dan Schmelzer of Bear Goggles on and Dan Zinski of The Viking Age for participating today. Be sure to be on the lookout for part three of our Behind Enemy Lines series.
