Detroit Lions: Keep or Cut

Why he should stay: Kellen Moore is quite possibly the most loved third string quarterback in NFL history. Besides that, Moore has performed well in preseason action when given the chance. He has a great understanding of the game and the playbook. In my opinion, Kellen Moore will be a great head coach some day. I look forward to seeing him have another decent showing in the preseason this year.
Why he should go: I don’t mince words when I talk about the rediculousness that is the Kellen Moore fan boy group. My prior assessment of Kellen Moore hasn’t changed a bit. He’s a smart guy and has the intangibles to have a long and productive career in the NFL. But he will never be a starting quarterback in the NFL. This does not mean I hate him or I’m against him. In fact I would love to be proven wrong on this.
Final determination: Having said all that, Kellen Moore would be a nice back up to have behind Matthew Stafford. I believe that Moore was the better option last season over Orlovsky and will likely prove this year that he should be the #2 guy.
