Current Record: 10-4

Current NFL Playoffs Position: No. 6 seed, second Wildcard spot

If they win out:

The Saints’ upset loss to the Rams  adds an interesting wrinkle to the rest of this season. Since the play the Saints next week, winning out now means winning the NFC South, and earning the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

If they lose out:

There’s a chance the Panthers could maintain their playoff position even with losing out, but they’d need  the Cardinals to stop winning to make it happen. Either way, the Panthers are set up pretty well where they are now, but nothing’s guaranteed.

Teams they’re rooting against:

San Francisco, New Orleans, Arizona
