The bulk of the snowfall is expected to be over by game time but periods of snow are expected to continue through the evening. Fortunately, the folks at Lambeau Field have found the ability to deal with inclement weather in ways still mysterious to the caretakers at Soldier Field. With a tarp covering the field and a robust underground system to combat snow and freezing temperatures, the playing surface shouldn’t be in terrible shape at kickoff. The question is, how well will the field hold up as the game wears on?

The change in the forecast over the past week hasn’t gone unnoticed at the sports books. The game carried an over/under 51.5 total points at the start of the week but that number has dropped to 49 as of Sunday afternoon.

The Lions now head to Denver, a city that is receiving a lot of attention from The Weather Channel. I made a casual stop by Weather.com today and was greeted by a headline that reads “Winter Coming to Denver” accompanied by the following:
