]]> The Lions list of players that did not practice was cut in half from yesterday. The bad news is that Gosder Cherilus is no longer counted as a non-participant because he was put on the injured list. The good news is that Chris Houston has gotten over his illness and Cliff Avril was able to at least participate on a limited basis.

Vinny Ciurciu, Landon Johnson and Matthew Stafford are the only three active players that were not able to practice in any capacity today.

]]> The first injury report of the week comes out each Wednesday. Just as it has been for most of the recent weeks, the Lions’ list is quite a bit longer than their opponent’s. Gosder Cherilus was one of six Lions that did not practice today and speculation quickly mounted that he could end up on injured reserve before the day was done. Sure enough, the Lions ended his season later in the afternoon.

Cliff Avril missed practice due to the rib injury that cost him about half of the Packers game. Landon Johnson was carted off the field last Sunday and missed practice today because of the neck injury although he may defy the odds and be able to play next weekend against the Bucs. Vinny Ciurciu sat out with a concussion and Chris Houston missed due to illness. Matthew Stafford is still sidelined with his shoulder injury.

I will admit it, part of the reason I wrote this article was because I wanted to use the title. Boys outgrow a lot of things but potty humor isn’t one of them.

Whether you believe the Lions will finish 4-12, like SI’s Peter King, or 9-7, like one veteran NFL scout, there are still plenty of question marks on this team.

The overall organization is trending upward, but…
