]]> The news of Mancho Man Randy Savage’s death has rocked the entertainment world. While that may not seem to have anything to do with the Detroit Lions, Randy Savage does share a common bond with our beloved Honolulu blue and silver.

Wrestling fan or not, it is hard to dispute that Wrestlemania III was one of the biggest events ever hosted at the Pontiac Silverdome. Over 93,000 people (depending on who you believe) passed through the turn styles to witness the event that concluded with Hulk Hogan’s iconic victory over Andre the Giant for the WWF Championship belt.

Just three matches prior, Macho Man Randy Savage faced Ricky Steamboat for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
