]]> The Detroit Lions put on an impressive display of hospitality in the wake of the Metrodome roof collapse last December. It was tough for some Lions fans to see the organization be so accommodating to a division rival but recent work on the Vikings’ home will ensure they won’t be in that position again.

The repairs to the Metrodome roof are complete and dome was re-inflated yesterday. There are a few videos on youtube and they are pretty cool to see. Here is one: (more…)

]]> The collapse of the Metrodome roof has necessitated a move of the Vikings regularly scheduled game with the New York Giants. The game had already been moved from Sunday afternoon to Monday night and now it will also move cities.

The University of Minnesota has a football stadium that is just two years old but won’t be ready on short notice because it has already been winterized. With no local options remaining to play locally, the NFL looked elsewhere.
