Josh Kaddu, OLB, Oregon
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 239 lbs
Arm Length: 33-3/8″
Hand Size: 9-5/8″
Bench Press: 20 reps
Broad Jump: 119″
Vertical Jump: 34″

If the Lions are looking to add an outside linebacker with very good athleticism and are okay with letting him develop then Josh Kaddu could be a strong choice. He has good size with room to add more bulk. Adding bulk will be important for his development to help him at the point of attack.

He doesn’t always make the explosive plays that his size and athleticism would suggest but there is certainly a lot for an NFL coaching staff to work with. Kaddu has a knack for showing up when a play is extended because of his high motor and sideline to sideline athleticism. Not many of his big plays at Oregon came as a result of solid technique. He’ll need to improve in that area to have success in the NFL.

Josh Kaddu could follow the Doug Hogue plan if the Lions draft him – that is, contributing on special teams while learning from a veteran group of NFL linebackers. Kaddu will most likely go undrafted through the first three rounds before being selected on day three of the draft.
