]]> The Detroit Lions’ week 11 injury report is a lot longer than anyone would like to see. Fortunately, many of the names hit the list due to league rules rather than serious injury situations.

Let’s start with the givens. Cliff Avril, Matthew Stafford and Jason Hanson are both still on the mend for their injuries sustained against the New York Jets; they will all be out of action this week. Kevin Smith will also be out this week after undergoing thumb surgery. Smith will probably miss more time but the timetable for his return is uncertain. (more…)
