Did Louis Delmas give Ochocinco a concussion?

New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco suggested early Wednesday morning with a Tweet from his Twitter page that Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas was responsible for giving him a concussion. The Tweet also suggested that former Houston Texans DB Brian Russell and current Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis inflicted the hits that caused him to have two other additional concussions.

Although Ochocinco could be correct, it may be impossible to confirm that Delmas was in fact responsible for the hit that made the Patriots wide receiver suffer his second concussion of his career. However, dating back to 2009, Delmas’ rookie season, Delmas would have had two opportunities to give Ochocinco a concussion—one when Ochocinco was a Bengal and one since recently joining the Patriots.

The following dates are possibilities of when the concussion occurred:
- 2009 – Week 13 – Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals
- 2011 – Preseason Week 3 – Detroit Lions vs. New England Patriots

Motorola Looking for Someone to Join Ochocinco at the Super Bowl for OCNN

I don’t know about you but going to a Super Bowl is probably at the top of my sports bucket list. It’s a little out of my price range at the moment, fortunately Motorola is looking for someone to send to Indy to cover the event with Chad Ochocinco for OCNN, the Ochocinco News Network. If you want to be in Indy for the Super Bowl and think you have what it takes then consider entering. How cool would it be if a SideLion Report reader won this thing? You better watch out, there’s a good chance I’ll put together an entry for myself.

Detroit Lions Preseason Game 1: Cincinnati Bengals Q&A

It doesn’t seem all that long ago that I was checking in with bloggers of teams on the Lions schedule without any idea whether or not those games would end up being played.

Fortunately, those games will be played starting the the first preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Is it time for real football already? It is!

I recently caught up with Cody Byers, editor of Stripe Hype, to talk about some Bengals news, what has been going on in camp so far and some things we should look for when they take on the Lions on Friday evening.
