SideLion Report has great readers so it makes sense that you should have a say in helping us name the SideLion Report Detroit Lions player of the year. The players have been seeded and placed into a tournament bracket with each matchup determined by a reader vote.

To ensure that everyone has a chance to vote, polls will remain open until midnight on the west coast. At that time, a winner will be declared and the tournament will continue with another matchup the following day.

Today is the last day featuring two matchups with tomorrow beginning singular matchups between more closely seeded players.

Chris Harris was the only Lion named on the injury report that was designated anything worse than “probable”. Not surprisingly, he will not be active tonight.

Joining Harris on the inactive list are Doug Hogue, Drew Stanton, Brandon McDonald, Joique Bell, Leonard Davis and Andre Fluellen.

On the Saints side, Lance Moore, Jonathan Casillas, John Gilmore, Eric Olsen, Turk McBride, Leigh Torrence and Tory Humphrey have been deactivated and will not play.

The team has announced the signing of defensive tackle Jovan Haye. What is surprising is that he comes in at the expense of cornerback Brandon McDonald who was released to free up a roster spot.

Tim Twentyman provides more info on Jovan Haye on DetroitLions.com:
