On DetroitLions.com, writer Tim Twentyman unveiled part one of an exclusive interview with Lions Vice Chairman, Bill Ford Jr. In part one, which can be found here, Bill Ford Jr. said some things that will please Lions fans.

At one point, Twentyman brings up Calvin Johnson and asks him how important it is to sign a long-term deal. Calvin Johnson’s contract will expire in a year and Johnson wants to get it over with this offseason. Contract negotiations over the summer will be closely followed by Lions fans. Like Johnson, it seems that Ford Jr. is eager to sign Calvin Johnson and make him a Lion for many more years to come. Here is what he had to say about Johnson: (more…)

It figures that the Detroit Lions would be the first team in N.F.L. history to win consecutive games after trailing by at least 20 points in each. After all, once a team has resurrected itself from a 0-16 season, come-from-behind victories are just microcosms of a much bigger rebuilding job.
