The Detroit Lions are quickly starting to make their final roster decisions as they continue to try and dwindle down to their final 53-man roster. Their latest cuts include linebacker Brandon Hepburn and cornerback Mohammed Seisay, as reported by Josh Katzenstein and Michael Rothstein.
Brandon Hepburn was drafted in the seventh-round by the Lions last year and spent his time on their practice squad last year, and remains eligible for the squad this year as well.
If Hepburn ever decides football isn’t a career he wants to continue to pursue, he could always cure cancer.
Seisay has been impressive this preseason and received a +1.7 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. I would imagine that the Lions plan to keep him on their practice squad when it’s all said and done. You can never have too many young defensive back prospects in this league.
With these moves, the Lions now have 15 more cuts to be made by the 4 p.m. deadline.
