The Detroit Lions are now heading into their second preseason game against the Raiders in Oakland. The game will be played tonight at 10 p.m. EST. Here are five storylines in which you should be paying close attention to.

Battle for the Right Tackle Position

I may be beating a dead horse here, but keep an eye out for who gets the start at the right tackle position Friday night. LaAdrian Waddle and Corey Hilliard have both been given first-team reps, but as of late it was reported that Hilliard was given the most first-team reps with full pads on, which could be a telling observation.

Against the Browns, Waddle was back to his old form and did a solid job blocking for the second team offense. He was given a +0.9 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, while Hilliard was graded at a -1.2.

I wouldn’t put too much stock into these grades, but it’s definitely something to consider.

As we draw nearer to the start of the regular season, we’ll start to get a better picture of who will make up this Lions first-team offense.
