Your Vote Determines Final Offensive Skill Position Player on All-NFC North Team

As I announced earlier today, FanSided NFL is in process of creating all-division tams made up of players from our respective divisions. That means putting aside divisional rivalries to put together the best possible roster.

The four NFC North sites are nearly complete with the offensive skill position portion of our roster but are leaving the final spot for our readers to decide. Here is what we’ve decided on so far:

Position Player
QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Adrian Peterson
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Jordy Nelson

That leaves just one spot before we have to move on to the offensive linemen and it could go to a number of players at one of three positions.

The NFC North is home to some good depth at wide receiver so creating a four-wide offensive roster is a possibility. Randall Cobb, Alshon Jeffery and Cordarrelle Patterson are up for consideration.

Adding a tight end would create some more balance to the theoretical offensive formation while still giving us another receiving target. Martellus Bennett and Kyle Rudolph are the options here.

Or, we could follow the modern NFL trend and roll two running backs by pairing Matt Forte with Adrian Peterson.

The poll will be open for 24 hours and the leader after that time will get the nod.

Who should be the final offensive skill position player on the All-NFC North team?

  • Alshon Jeffery (24%, 23 Votes)
  • Randall Cobb (22%, 21 Votes)
  • Matt Forte (22%, 21 Votes)
  • Cordarrelle Patterson (16%, 16 Votes)
  • Kyle Rudolph (13%, 13 Votes)
  • Martellus Bennett (3%, 3 Votes)

Total Voters: 97

Gotta go with Patterson…..The ball will be in his hands frequently. And he’s got the ability to break it wide open every time he touches it

  • Brian

I’d have to say Forte… He can spell Peterson and add to the offense with rushing, receiving and blocking in the backfield… He accels in too many areas to leave off of the team.

Honestly, I’d vote for Eddie Lacy. But since he’s not on the list, I’ll go with Jeffery.
