Will Brandon Flowers become the newest member of the Detroit Lions? After releasing Chris Houston when already facing questions about their cornerback situation, the Lions were reported to be one of ten teams to reach out to Flowers following his release by the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Flowers is likely to make a decision on his next team this week:
Sounds like much-sought-after CB Brandon Flowers will make a decision on his next team sometime midweek. Plenty of suitors

The buzz surrounding the Lions interest in Flowers seems to have died down considerably since they were named in an initial group of potential suitors about a week ago.
Other teams have more routinely been mentioned as possible desitinations, with the most aggressive being the San Diego Chargers. Flowers spent a portion of last week visiting the Chargers although he left without a deal, however it is the only visit he has made to date.
Flowers remains a talented corner but there are serious questions about his fit in the Lions’ defensive scheme. He struggled in Kansas City as a press-man corner and his move to the slot was a point of contention. The Lions have shown a preference towards bigger corners in recent years but Flowers is just 5’9″ and 187 pounds.
There aren’t any reports out there yet saying the Lions won’t sign Flowers, but it would be surprising considering he is likely to have better options in terms of fit and finances.
