Detroit Lions 2014 NFL Draft: Day Two Prospect Profiles Review

Over the last few weeks, SideLion Report has been profiling potential second day draft picks for the Detroit Lions. With the clock starting in just a few hours for the second and third rounds, it’s time to review all of the SideLion Report prospects who might be receiving a phone call from the Lions tonight.

Since Eric Ebron was the pick in the first round, it would be hard to fathom the Detroit Lions picking up a wide receiver this evening. Should it fall that way for some reason, two second day receiver prospects that we’ve highlighted at SideLion Report are Davante Adams and Marqise Lee.

A more likely scenario for tonight is that the Lions focus on defense. Outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy could be a phenomenal second round pick. At defensive end, featured players Jeremiah Attaochu and Kareem Martin are possibilities as well. Finally, for those fans who are clamoring for a safety, Terrence Brooks is still on the board.

Only time will tell who the Detroit Lions will add to their roster tonight. In the immortal words of Tom Petty, the waiting is the hardest part.
