Detroit Lions Make Minor Roster Moves Ahead of Minicamp

The Detroit Lions open minicamp today and made a couple of roster moves before getting to work.

None of the three are likely to figure in to the team’s long-term plans but will have a chance to change some minds while providing camp depth. Hester is a familiar name in the NFC North – Aaron is the cousin of former Chicago Bears KR/WR Devin Hester.

In addition to the players signed, the Lions also invited a handful of player to participate in minicamp on a tryout basis.

A successful tryout could lead to a contract and chance to continue with the Lions through the offseason. As we’ve seen in previous years, the Lions aren’t shy about turning over the bottom of the roster as opportunities to improve team depth become available. This will be just the beginning of names coming and going until the final roster is set.
